No hay una gran cantidad de películas que se realizan en la República Dominicana y la mayoría de ellos son por lo general se muestran en los festivales internacionales de cine o latinos. Pero esto es una característica cine dominicano que está recibiendo un lanzamiento de teatro limitado - La Soga (The Rope), dirigida por Josh Crook. La película, protagonizada por, y fue escrita y producida por Manny Pérez, se trata de un asesino a sueldo con una conciencia que está detrás del hombre que mató a su padre.
Si el nombre de Pérez no es familiar, la cara debe ser, ya que ha hecho un montón de películas y TV por trabajo desde principios de los 90, y esto no es la primera vez detrás de la cámara tampoco. También escribió, produjo, además protagonizó la película de 2002 indie, Washington Heights.

There aren’t a whole lot of films being made in the Dominican Republic and most of them are usually shown at international or Latino film festivals. But here’s a Dominican feature film that is getting a limited theatrical release – La Soga (The Rope), directed by Josh Crook. The film, which stars, and was written and produced by Manny Perez, is about a hit man with a conscience who’s after the man who killed his father.
If Perez’s name isn’t familiar, the face should be, since he’s done a ton of movie and TV work since the early 90’s, and this isn’t his first time behind the camera either. He also wrote, produced, as well as starred in the 2002 indie film, Washington Heights.
